Cleaning and organization go hand in hand (although I do have thoughts on which one is more important).
Cleaning your entire house can be really overwhelming (which is why I recommend getting into a cleaning schedule that works for you). Splitting it into parts helps a LOT, and aids in cleaning motivation.
In fact, I’m a big believer in a 10 minute tidy that keeps our house basically OK. I also use house cleaning lists for my kids to make sure they’re getting rooms cleaned right.
Cleaning the floors is something families have to do almost constantly (which is why I have a robot vacuum).
Cleaning the kitchen takes some special tools and cleaning supplies.
Cleaning the bathroom is important to stay sanitary.
Also, dealing with your other housemates can make cleaning extra difficult. Splitting chores with your spouse can also be hard.
You can use safe chemicals around your home like vinegar to clean, or a steam cleaning machine. I am a huge fan of microfiber towels.
You can also save money and do projects like re-stuffing your couch cushions on your own.
And while I dream about one — I do NOT have a cleaning lady!
