This us on the Mormon Trail hike in Phoenix over Spring Break, on the one day Drew wasn’t gone. What a beautiful view! |
I wake up at 4:00 almost every day. It allows for a lot of good blog writing time, but also a big dose of nasty mom come later in the day. I WISH I could fall back to sleep, but I have so much on my mind.
The school carnival is coming up. It’s been a frustrating week. Between telling people about 8 times what exactly I need them to do, with them coming back with “what”? To people with complaints, to just trying to stay on top of it all. I’m glad it’s my last year.
I am also doing a primary talent show today at church. We always had one in CA that endeared me to a lot of the kids in our ward. There is something so magical about sharing your talent (no matter what it is) and having people receive it and be proud of you. I’m excited for it, I hope we pull it off!
The blog is doing well. It has up days and down days. I got some “campaigns” with Blogher coming up which fit nicely into my blog and I’m excited for the exposure and money. I still want to do a financial snapshot monthly on how it’s doing. It’s getting 2-3k hits/day. Much better then the 30 I used to get.
Drew is back in town and slowly realizing that I am a basket case right now. His schedule has significantly tapered off (don’t get me wrong, he’s mostly just no longer doing the school musical) and that is good.
Spencer is working on his FINAL (and I do mean FINAL) pinewood derby car. I remember when Amy Miller’s husband handed us their bag of pinewood derby stuff with a big grin. I’m excited to do that ourselves.
Conner is 13. Does that say enough to everyone? I’ll leave it there. If you don’t know what I mean, be glad.
Paige was in a mood to not clean up her toys this week, so I bagged everything up, including her preschool backpack — all of it was on the floor) and threw it in the trash. After about an hour of her screaming we had a nice talk and retrieved it out of the trash. Things are getting better in the putting away front.
And life goes on. It’s a wonderful, busy life. I need more time to just soak it in. Don’t you?
