Ok, first off. I have to say we have NOTHING on the walls. I got pictures from the amazing Shannon Montez before we left (THANKS SHANNON!!!!) and I am waiting to get those before I put anything on the walls. BTW, if you want great family pictures — have Shannon do them, she’s the best! I’m not even just saying that. I got her to do them because I really think that.
And now, after all that talk of amazing photos, back to the poor quality ones from my phone. 🙂
Ok, today was fixing the kids rooms. It took 2 days, although I hoped it’d only be one. They turned out great. It’s so nice to have them so darn clean for once. I mean, seriously — they’re clean. 🙂
The boy’s room:
Boy’s Room from the window — we got them that Ikea bucket thing to put their backpacks in. Think they’ll use it?
It’s kinda crowded in here since we figured to put the bed she’d be in within the year in there along with the crib. Her room seems the most bare. I want to put something over her bed, but I don’t want anything to fall on her when she is sleeping. I was thinking vinyl clings or something, but I have a hard time finding really cute ones of those…. thoughts? I want to get some cute frames to go over her bookshelf and dresser though. The room needs some dressing up! You can see more of our closet organization in her closet…
Downstairs “guest” bathroom… aka, Drew’s home depot. We got a cute shower curtain for here though, and it made me excessively happy.
The Guest room… just waiting for guests. We’ll spread out the boxes and give you a sleeping bag… 😉
Oh, and here’s the new dishes as a set… nothing fancy…
The kitchen’s pretty well put away. I even organized the kitchen gadgets today. Love how I have 4 drawers for what I used to have only 1 for.
The other side of the kitchen. Can you believe I have a kitchen that has “Sides” and can’t easily fit in one picture frame?
Our little office nook in the dining area.
Living room….
Living room shelves. HELP with the top of that bookcase!
Our room… we found that armoir at Ikea that fits right into our little nook. It’ll do til’ we can buy built ins and bookshelves. 🙂 Also, our TV fits right into it. Yay for hidden technology.
Our drab bed. I thought about getting a bed frame, but we are hoping to upsize at some point (giving this bed to the guest room. So, it will remain drab for now.

Looks great! You can look online for vinyl things to put on walls….I am a sucker for vinyl stick ons, a cute sayin to put up would be really cute in her room. As for the top of that book shelf you need help with:) Go to thrift stoes, look for pottery or glass jar type things….different sizes….. would maybe work and look cute! Love your blog:)

Love the house – the kitchen is especially awesome – all that counter space – AND an island, I’m jealous! 🙂 Looks like a great floor plan, and a wonderful family home.
