The Holidays are some of the funnest times there are for your family. Suddenly, there’s extra yummy food and lots of laughter to go around.
Christmas
Looking to run your Christmas on a Budget? It can be hard, but also really rewarding to not have a lot of stuff to put away too! I share some of my rules for Christmas gifts. Because you really don’t need a bunch of greedy kids at Christmas.
Gift Guides
That all being said — I love gifts. One of my most popular gifts guides is the best Christmas gifts for your wife (and yes, I want a lot of the things on that list too!). I also love my gift guide for couples (awesome for those family gifts making you think ?????) or my gift guide for busy families. As a companion to the wife gift guide is the mom gift guide.
Of course, nothing is quite as confusing as an older teen boy — and my gift guide for 18 year old boys is pretty popular (and also written by an 18 year old boy, so that helps). I also have a gift guide for pregnant woman (and, as a labor nurse for 20 years I have some pretty great ideas). I also have a great gift guide for student nurses.
Of course, there’s plenty of other things to do at Christmas. I love our yearly ornament tradition. And, Christmas at Disneyland is a favorite of mine (snowwww…. says the mom in Phoenix).
Halloween
Our family did family costumes for a number of years, so I’ve got you covered on group costumes.
Womens’ Costumes
My Princess Leia costume is easy and popular
Men’s Costumes
Captain Hook takes items from the thrift store for an easy one!
Darth Vader was an easy make, and the black cape can be used on variety of things aftrwards!
Kid’s Costumes
The Crocodile comes haunting Captain hook (also made from thrift store items)
This Yoda Costume was SUCH a big hit (and we used it for a couple of kids becuase those ears deserve that!)
We’ve even done The Flintstones!
I hope your family enjoys these holiday ideas as much as we do:
