Family travel is SO important. Showing your kids that there is a world much wider than the one they normally experience can be fun, and FRUSTRATING.
Simplifying Family Travel
Simplifying family travel is pretty easy, it’s our brains that get in the way.
I share lots of great Disney Tips, because our family LOVES to visit the mouse!
Family Disneyland Tips
However, there are a LOT things to consider in every family trip, Disneyland being no exception.
Being optimistic is a good start — loved this podcast:
Disney on a Budget
The first thing I think about is my Disney budget << That includes, travel, hotel, tickets, souveniers food etc! All of that can be really overwhelming, which is why I created a Disneyland Budget Calculator. Of course, that calculator can be used for all SORTS of things. Not JUST Disneyland. It helps keep all of our trips organized.

Staying Healthy at Disneyland
I’m a plus sized gal and I also share my best tips for being overweight at Disneyland. No one wants to go and be miserable unable to ride or awkward in things, so I love those tips. I even share how to take care of your feet at Disneyland (super important!).
And, if 2020 has you headed to the parks (me too!) I have a post on the best tips to heading back after quarantine.
And, being the labor nurse that I am. I HAVE to share the best pregnancy tips at Disneyland. It can still be REALLY fun, but that post shares some simple rules to abide by to stay safe.
Prepping for a Disneyland Trip
Getting ready for a Disney trip is the KEY to success. I share the best things to bring into the park, as well as how to pack light for Disneyland (a personal mission of mine, as I like to bring even the kitchen sink with us, if you know what I mean).
Feeding your family at the park can be a huge time/money suck — but I have a few restaurants I love and I share how to not break the bank eating at Disneyland.
Where to Stay at Disneyland
I have a post that reviews all of my hotels stays near Disneyland so you can pick your best Disneyland Family package. And yes I always use Get Away Today to book my Disney trips << and that post tells you why I’ve used them since 1998.
I also have posts on the cheapest hotels, the closest hotels and comparing Disney vs outside hotels.
Other Southern California Fun
Southern California has tons to offer besides Disneyland. I offer my best Universal Sudios Tips, and I also have a post comparing Knotts Berry to Disneyland (and if Disney isn’t in our budget, I seriously recommend checking out Knotts).
Other Family Travel Tips
I have a great podcast on traveling with anxious or inflexible kids (that I think is great info for ALL kids).
Now, just becuase I write a lot about Disneyland, doesn’t mean I only have tips for it. I have a post on the best places to visit in Flagstaff (including the Grand Canyon).
We have also enjoyed a lot of national parks including the ones in Southern Utah. We also love Yellowstone for families!
I write about cruising with your family — including the best tips to cruising with kids.
