This post will be an unboxing of my Dia & Co boxes March, April and June 2019. It includes shirts, pants, skirts, and clothes I will wear to upcoming blog conferences.
BTW, this is part of all of my Dia & Co Reviews (that page has all of my reviews in one spot) and if you’re wondering about the average cost — my page on Dia & Co Pricing aggregates my pricing info!
Blog conferences REALLY intimidate me.
I’m not a fashionista, I don’t normally care all that much about what I wear (I like to feel “put together” — but beyond that….), so taking 3-4 days where I have to plan outfits and I will be surrounded by hundreds of influencers (many of them being those Instagram influencers you love). Anyway, it’s a lot for this curly girl.
SO, when Dia offered to send me a box for a couple of my upcoming conference I jumped at the chance!

Downing Studio Eliss Red Woven Three-quarter-sleeve Top: $49 ($36.75 if you buy the whole box)
This is made out of crepe — and somehow that fabric gives me the creepers, BUT I also REALLY like it. The pattern and color is really flattering on me
Also, the back is a thin knit which is awesome. Crepe all over isn’t quite as breatheable as I’d prefer.
I really, like the color, fit, and style. Just still working on that fabric. 🙂 BUT, it will be awesome for travel as Crepe doesn’t have a wrinkle problem. 🙂
Leota Cassie Sweetheart Neckline Dress: $89 ($66.75)
This dress is a more muted pink than it shows in this picture, but I liked it.
I think it looks very professional. The sweetheart neckline, however, is SUPER low — I will 100% have to wear a t-shirt under it, and frankly, I think most women would or you’d be showing a LOT of chest (perhaps that’s why it’s called a sweetheart).
There is ruching over the belly section, which is great since that’s my “problem area”. It’s light and flowy, perfect for summer. 🙂
Rafaella Abbotsford Light Weight Twill Capri Pant: $65 ($48.75)
These pants, are. amazing! They fit SO well!
Only problem is the color. It’s not as mustard or bananna as they look in this photo (more buttery, or “inside of the bananna”in person).
Someone on Instagram mentioned wearing a white T-shirt with the blue sweater from this box, which would be SUPER cute. I think I just need better white t-shirts. 🙂
When paired with the pink or green shirt from this box I wasn’t in love. I do think that solid colors might be better.
But I will wear these pants, because they fit SO DARN WELL!!!! 🙂
Ryan Wythe Esmeralda 3/4 Sleeve Front Pleat Blouse: $55 ($41.25)
Oh man, I am not sure I would have pulled this one off the rack. Mainly because I don’t often buy “professional” clothes (let’s be honest, as a blogger I spent quite a bit of time in my sweat pants in front of my computer screen.
But it is SO great. WHY, you might ask?
So many “professional” tops are stiff and not “me” — and this one has that nice pleated front, but the rest is KNIT! {insert choirs from heaven}.
UGH! SO PERFECT! I am a little nervous about how it’s going to pack, but myself and my wrinkle releaser will try it out! I am speaking at this conference, and I think this will be a good option for that (probably with some navy pants) 🙂
Royal Blue Avery 3/4 Sleeve Crew Neck Cardigan: $55 ($41.25)
I specifically asked for cardigans for these conferences. I am always cold in the conference rooms, so having a cardigan in my bag is awesome (because then I move around a bunch and I get hot — you know how it goes) 🙂
This cardigan is awesome! It has a bit of stiffness/structure to it (I’ve been wearing a lot of flowy ones, that aren’t my favorite). The button section has ribbon on it so that the buttons won’t stretch the sweater out.
I LOVE The color. Such a bright and pretty blue, it will go with a lot of things (I liked it with most of the items in this box).
A great staple item. Nice job Dia!
Whole box Price (remember, I have a whole post on Dia & Co Pricing) $313 — $234 for the whole box
This is a bit more than my average box. I felt like the dress was a bit pricier than the ones I usually get, and I think because I was aiming more “professional” — those fabrics and clothes often have a higher price point.
However, as I look at the quality of the clothes and the pricing, I am 100% happy to pay that price.
A total win to get sent a box of stuff I just love (to think, just a few days ago I was freaking out about what I was going to wear to the conference and now I’m set!
That is for SURE one of my favorite things about Dia! Now that they know me — I can request things for a particular even and they already “understand” what I want. 🙂
This box is the one I will wear to Snap. I am even speaking, so there is a bit of extra “pressure”.
March 2019 Unboxing & Try On
Here in my video you’ll see my initial reaction to when I open the box AND me wearing the item. I hope you like this kind of video (I’d love to know what you prefer though — so tell me in the comments). Then, I’ll reivew the items and pricing for each item. Sound good?

SWAK Navy Skirt $49 ($36.75)
** Remember, you can always save 25% off the item price if you keep the whole box — that’s the number in the parantheses).
LOVE this. Not particularly fashion-forward, but it’s SO soft and great for church. Not 100% sure I’d wear it to a conference… but I love it. 🙂
Molly & Isadora Pink Ankle Pants $69 ($51.75)
Oh guys — these are SUCH a win. SUPER lightweight, fit really well (no gaping backside, which is a problem I have frequently), great length for summer. I’m a HUGE fan!
Rafaella Gold Dot Salmon Top $45 ($33.75)
Meh. I mean, it looks fine. It looks like a lot of my other shirts. Certainly in my comfort zone. I do have SOME concerns about the top. I liked how they flipped down when I got it, but now that I look at the photo those are supposed to stand up…. so, we will have to see how it stands up to washing, etc.
{insert heart eyes emjoi}
Purple Prescott Long Sleeve Cage Back Cardigan $55 ($41.25)
Yes, a bit pricey for a lightweight cardigan — but the back on this is so cool! Just something REALLY different from what I normally wear. Huge fan. I love purple. 🙂
Blue Michel Studio Twist Front Top $59 ($44.25)
This one is VERY different than what I normally wear. I have seen these knot front tops, but I hadn’t really understood them…. and this is a big win. It provides some shape while still being very comfortable. It’s made out of polyester elastane blend — which is sort of “crepe”-y — and sort of makes me feel like a grandma when I wear it.
BUT, I think it will pack super well. So that’s a win, and I love the coverage on the butt for conferences (I hate having to pull my shirt down so I don’t show some butt all the time.
Post-conference Edit: I HAAAATED this shirt. Maybe it was a bit too big, but the flowy sleeves and the neckline was always showing off things I wanted covered. Anyway, I ended up sending it to Goodwill right afterward. Sad, but true.
Total Box Cost: $277 ($207.75 with full-box 25% discount)
Which, puts it on par with my other dia and co pricing.
I really liked it. I liked the colors, my fit and the options it gave me for my conference.
A few tips for dressing at conferences:
What to wear to a conference:
- Wear layers — some rooms are freezing, and sometimes you’ll be hot when you’re moving around a lot — so having a cardigan in your bag will be a win.
- Don’t go with a first-time wear. I plan to wear these clothes a couple of times before I take them to the conference so that I’m not caught by surprise by something I don’t love).
- Be who YOU are. Represent who you are in those clothes, now isn’t the time for a major fashion rehaul. People know I’ll be in bright comfy clothes. I won’t be in black, structured stuff. It’s just who I am.
- AND, of course — if you use a subscription box, be sure to be as thorough in your requests and needs as possible!
April 2019 Dia & Co Unboxing:
Clothes for Mom 2.0 Conference
Here is a sneak peek for what they sent me for Mom 2.0. I have asked for the clothes to be a bit more fashion-forward for that, as it is a bit more “upscale”. Stay tuned for all the items and what I eventually thought:
Ok, let’s review each of THOSE items as WELL!
Purple Top — Molly & Isadora Emma Tied Sleeve Crew Neck Tee $42 ($31.50 is the price if you keep the full box).
I really, really like this shirt. I liked it on, because it is super comfortable, but I think it’s a great pick for this conference. It’s a RADIANT conference, and the bright color is just perfect.
As I said in the video, the only issue I might have is the neck, but I think it will actually work.
Sabrina Blue Nile Elbo Sleeve Drop Shoulder fit & flare Dress $59 ($44.25)
Guys. THIS is the reason I love subscription boxes. Never, in a million years, would I have tried this thing on. The pattern and the look of it was just a lot to take in on the hanger. Frankly, even looking at the picture.
But, the quality is just GREAT and it is SUPER comfortable, while also still looking quite professional. I am a huge fan, very excited and I think it was a total win.
Honestly, at that price point (and ESPECIALLY the 25% off price) this is SWEET deal for a very high quality dress.
Yellow Top: Marybelle Noeli V Neck Blouse $59 ($44.25)
Another big win, you guys! I would’ve passed this up on the rack. Just so yellow and bright. BUT, It will REALLY hit the Mom 2.0 vibe right on the head. Paired with the jeans I got a few boxes ago I am a big fan.
I am a little bit nervous about how it will pack, so I will just be thoughtful of making sure it’s folded well and goes on a hanger when we get to the hotel.
Again, I’m looking for clothes that make me stand out at mom 2.0. So I am excited for this one!
Sabrina Collective Augusta 3/4 Sleeve Fit & flare dress with Shawl Neck $69 ($51.75)
At first, I thought this looked a bit old, but the more I see it on me the more I love it.
It has a GREAT fabric, it is SUPER comfortable, and will be great to pack! It will also be great for church, etc.
Floral Skirt: Ryan Wythe Orchid Elastic Waist A-Line Skirt $55 ($412.25)
I like this one. I guess I’m not WOW’d by it, as it is a little be too “blah” for Mom 2.0 (although, when I watched it on the video, I saw some hope for it… watching yourself in the clothes online is always an eye opener. 🙂
I think with a nice white T and perhaps a cardigan this could be a win. I think I may have just the cardigan for it. 🙂
Total Box Price: $284 ~ Full Box Price (with 25% discount): $213

That is pretty close to my regular Dia & Co Pricing, and an AWESOME value for these clothes and how classy they will look at my conference!
Honestly, I always love how OTHER people look in skirts & dresses at these things, but haven’t worn them myself, but I really think I’ll be taking these and LOVING THEM.

I like everything except the salmon top. I totally want that cardigan and the blue top!
Hilary Erickson says
I ended up HAAAATING the blue top. I think it may be too big. It’s all over the place, showing TONS of bra and the flowy sleeves were making me lose it. 🙂
