What are the hotels closest to Disneyland that also offer a free breakfast? Today I’m going to share some my favorites. I’ve eaten at most of these places and I’ll give my honest thoughts as well.
Before we get started — why listen to me instead of all the boring listings you’ll see elsewhere — well, because I’m a mom to 3. I’ve stayed at LOTS of Disneyland hotels (and toured even more as a Disneyland planning pro). I really know the in’s and outs of these hotels — so THAT is why you listen to me, rather than some article just putting links in. That’s all. 🙂
OH, and before we get started you’ll see that most of my hotel links are to Get Away Today. I’ve booked my own Disneyland trips with them since 1998 (aka, a LOT longer than I’ve had a website). I just think they have the best prices (in fact, they guarantee it) and make it SO easy to plan. I’m a huge fan, and you can always call them and tell them what you’re wanting. Their agents have actually visited the hotels and have GREAT advice for you! Big thanks when you mention you heard about them from Pulling Curls — because they are a GREAT partner for me!
Closest Hotel Near Disneyland with Free Breakfast:
The Best Western Plus Park Place — it is the absolute closest hotel to Disneyland (honestly, I think closer than 99% of the Disneyland hotel rooms). It also offers free breakfast. When you cross Harbor Blvd it’s right there!
The breakfast itself is pretty Ok. I was actually happily surprised by it. Lots of good condiments for the items, it had decent eggs, even Uncrustables for busy kids who just want to get to the park. It was just better than I was thinking. Is it amazing, no — but it’s good.
Caveat: This is a VERY popular hotel, so if you see it’s available and in your price range BOOK IT. Also, use my link because it’s way cheaper than booking direct.
The Truth About Hotel Breakfast
Now normally I’m a huge fan of a free breakfast at a hotel. Especially as a mom. However, at Disneyland my kids were always so antsy to get to the parks we often didn’t eat much.
Ultimately, the fight to get them to eat was too much and I decided to just bring gogurts or microwavable bowls for them to eat as we walked to the park. Almost all the hotels in the area have a mini fridge, and most have a microwave (or access to one).
Since if you’re staying in these hotels you’re likely going to Disneyland it’s important to be able to
Often these hotels are more expensive than those that don’t. Most of the hotels along Harbor do not offer breakfast, so sometimes you’re trading free breakfast for walking further (or using a shuttle/Uber). Just something to keep in mind. With that, let’s talk about 10 other close hotels that have breakfast!

Close Hotel with the BEST Breakfast
The Element — Guys, this hotel breakfast blew me away their HUGE variety. I was able to make a breakfast taco (with guac), and have some Lucky Charms. I was in bliss. They have a really big area to pick up breakfast, and a HUGE dining area. A big plus in busy mornings.
They also have a nice variety of room sizes depending on how large your party is.
It is considered walkable, although after a long at the parks it would be an ugly walk back for me. It’s not actually on harbor, it’s on the road behind so it’s not the most walkable, but very doable in the mornings at least.
Other Close Hotels with Free Breakfast
The Desert Palms Hotel has free breakfast. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and felt like it was SO. LOUD but I have heard they have remodeled. The breakfast was pretty basic, but you can look out at California Adventure as you eat, so that’s always fun.
The Cambria has a HUGE breakfast area (I’ve never not seen a lot of empty tables) and their breakfast is very yummy (including Mickey Waffles). This hotel also has a Waterpark and is a favorite of mine for families. I wouldn’t call it walkable, but my Uber has always been less than $10, or you can use the ART shuttle.
Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area — this hotel isn’t walkable but is service by two of the ART shuttles, making it a good option. The price is also nice, and a great option for larger parties. I have stayed here a couple of times. The rooms are clean, and fine but there is chipping paint/tiles and the rooms are a bit dated. I love their suite that offers one room with 1 king and it’s bathroom, a living room and then a second suite with 2 queens and it’s own bathroom. A GREAT option for larger parties.
There is also a second (and I think nicer, but more expensive) Residence Inn option that is walkable. There is also a nice SpringHill Suites there (I love having the CVS right in that complex).
I have heard the breakfast at the Delta Hotel is really nice. I wouldn’t call that hotel walkable, but it is definitely not far.
The Embassy Suites South has the amazing brand breakfast with made-for-you omelets. I wouldn’t call it walkable, but it’s close to the Target, some other area restaurants and the ART bus comes pretty frequently to their stop.
The Homewood Suites on Resort Area has a good breakfast. Just your basics. The hotel is also next to the Mickey and Fridge parking area so you can sometimes walk to those busses and get to the park (for free) that way.
There is the Hampton Inn Convention center that also offers a basic free breakfast.
Hyatt House offers a free breakfast. This is one I have toured (but I have seen the tours). It looks really nice and I’ve heard a lot of nice buzz about them. I do think this hotel would be walkable in the morning, but I’d be wishing I had an Uber to take home.
A lot of this obviously comes down to budget, so don’t miss my Disneyland cost calculator:
Continental Breakfasts
You may be thinking you want a FULL breakfast, but I have to admit the places that are a bit more grab-and-go are a nice option. The Best Western Stovall’s has this option. Rooms are very basic, but that’s all you need since you’ll be at Disneyland all day!
Value Hotel Breakfast Options
The Clarion is the least expensive hotel and while it doesn’t offer free breakfast, kids eat free with paying adults. So, that might be an option to check out if you’re on a tight budget.
The Sonesta and Sonesta Suites (better for larger parties) are not walkable, but they offer good value and free breakfast.
Do you have a hotel that I didn’t list? I should add that sometimes offerings vary, so calling Get Away Today to see what they recommend for YOUR party is never a bad idea.
