Would you like to cook some of your own food while you are at Disneyland? You’re in luck! There’s several places that have kitchens that are nearby the Disneyland resort.
Note: Most of these are a “mini kitchen” — most of them don’t have an oven. Some have a cook top burner, but that’s important to know going in. If you want to know if your room has a cooktop or an oven I would recommend calling Get Away Today directly at 1-855-GET-AWAY — they always have the details and specifics. Plus, things change and I definitely don’t want you thinking you can bake cookies and that’s not an option.
Most often in rooms with “kitchens” that also means they have cups, plates, silverware etc for you.
And yes, most of these links go directly to Get Away Today. Why? Well, because the pricing can’t be beat (literally, it’s guaranteed) and they have the best customer service around! I’ve used them since 1998.
Be sure to mention Pulling Curls or use code CURLS10 to get $10 off your hotel stay!
Ok, let’s get into the kitchen (hahha, literally).
Pricing of Kitchen Rooms Near Disneyland
I always love to get you guys a guess on pricing — most of these rooms varied from just over $200/night to $300 — so not a huge variance, but some. Remember pricing is affected by:
- How close the room is to Disneyland
- What the hotel is around (is there restaurants, target, etc)
- How nice the room is (and how updated it is)
- I have no idea — sometimes when I see the pricing I’m like (???)

Element by Westin $$$$
Let me FIRST say that breakfast is taken care of already. They have one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever seen/eaten at. It’s great. BTW looking for more Disneyland hotels with breakfasts << check that out.
They have a variety of different rooms, so you want to be sure that whatever appliances you want come with the room. I think all the rooms come with a fridge and microwave. Some of the larger rooms do look like they have a cooktop.
I think it’s a good option. It’s fairly walkable (although I think I’d really want to uber back at night). The rooms were pretty quiet and clean. I love the breakfast, but I do think it’s a bit more on the pricey side.
BTW if you’re spending the extra cash to stay walkable, be sure to use your day right:
Cambria Hotel & Suites $$$
Cambria has a HUGE variety of rooms. It’s great for large families/groups. SOME of the rooms have kitchens. However, their basic room does not.
I don’t see ovens/cooktops in their rooms. So, you’re mostly getting counter space, eating supplies, a full fridge (with a freezer), a microwave and often a dishwasher.
They also have a GREAT breakfast, so you can take that part off your plate as well.
Residence Inn Resort Area $$$
There are two Residence Inn’s — this is the cheaper, and further of the two.
I have stayed here a few times and I think this hotel is AWESOME for larger families. I’ve especially loved the two queen, one king rooms that has 3 separate sleeping areas.
I believe some of the rooms have a stove or a cooktop — so if those are important to you, I’d call Get Away Today to double-check.
While this hotel is a bit dated, the rooms are large. The breakfast is very adequate and it is very close to the ART stop (there’s also another one not far up the road bye Embassy Suites in case you miss that one). It’s a great one to check out!
Residence Inn Convention Center $$$$
This one is much closer and newly rennovated. I’d encourage you to look at the pricing of both — this one may win-out because it is closer.
It is walkable (longer than I’d want on the way back — similar to the Element).
Again, I think what’s actually in the kitchen beyond (counters, coffee maker, microwave, fridge/freezer) I’m not 100% sure on — and probably varies room to room.
I’m a fan of this one though. It’s probably my favorite closer to the parks. It’s also cheaper by a bit than
The Element.
Homewood Maingate $$
This one has a kitchen with a counter, coffee maker, fridge/freezer and microwave. It also serves a breakfast. Nice for larger families.
Homewood Convention Center
(I couldn’t access the pricing on this one)
Of the two Homewoods I think this one is a bit nicer. I’ve stayed here. Since the bedroom is not hooked to the hallway it was nice and quiet. Roomy for our party of 4 adults.
Breakfast is good and you can walk over to the Toy Story Shuttle if you’re feeling ambitious. It is not walkable.
Room layouts seems very similar between the two.
There are other hotels that have kitchen offerings, although not obvious on Get Away Today’s site. The Tropicana has a suite with a kitchen. I believe you can call Get Away Today to see if it’s available. It is VERY walkable to the park — that would be a great option (but is pricey).
A few others that have kitchens off the top of my head:
- Deseret Palms $$$ is more walkable and does have a kitchen suite.
- Sonesta Suites $$ is where we stayed when our kids were little (used to be a Staybridge, I think). They have kitchens. The rooms were nice and large, very similar to the Homewood. It’s just pretty far, and not near anything else (fine if you have a car though).
Benefit of Having a Kitchen on Your Disneyland Trip
There are lots of benefits to having a kitchen. One of my favorites is running by the store to grab some snacks. I especially love having a freezer with my room for ice cream or frozen meals to heat-up quickly.
Most of the other hotels around Disney have more a cooler, and while some of those have a freezer section it doesn’t really freeze things — maybe keeps it a SMALL amount cooler…. so having a freezer is really nice.
Con’s of Having a Kitchen
Mostly that rooms with a kitchen take up extra space. Meaning that hotels that price space as a premium (aka, the really close ones) don’t tend to include kitchens. Most often if you want a kitchen you’re not staying as close as you could otherwise, but for many families that is worth it.
There are lots of shuttles in the area, or you can uber if no one needs a car seat.
Personally, beyond the fridge/freezer option I didn’t ever really USE the kitchen. I was so tired I’d mostly give kids something really quick and easy if they were hungry — I wasn’t pulling-out pots and pans. BUT, you know you and your family and if a kitchen is your thing, these are some great options!
In case you’re looking at other options…..
