My baby (who is five) has super fine hair. She gets it from me {poor girl} but mine is super curly, so it works for me. When I straighten it — I go CRAZY with hair all over the place. I didn’t want her to prance through life looking like she’d just rubbed a balloon all over her, so I did some research on how to fix fly away hairs — or static hair.
This spray is so simple, and easy to do.
1. Go get a spray bottle. I tend to use smaller ones as it’s easier to mix. I also got one that is pink. Because pink is magical at our house. Don’t ya’ know!?
2. I put one pump of wash-out conditioner in it. That’s maybe 1/2 tsp. I use Aussie Moist most often in the shower, but I do tend to mix it up.
3. Get the hottest water your pipes can give you, and fill the bottle up!
4. Shake it. You want the conditioner to dissolve.
5. Sometimes I add a little leave in conditioner too. For good measure.
6. Live your life. Or, let your kid live their life.
I think it’ just adds some weight and it also helps hers fall into her cute sorta-curls. It also stays out of her face better if I use this. I tend to spray a little of it on her hair every morning. Plus, it just looks healthier. It’s not enough to look greasy, but enough to keep it tame and shiny (just like me). HAHahah….
I actually have started doing this on my own curly locks. It helps with the frizzies!

Do you have any kids hair tricks? I’d love to know them. She has a thing about digging her head into the couch or her bed and rubbbing it all around. It’s not my favorite trait of hers… 😉 If you liked this post, you might want to follow my curly hair board on Pinterest.

Thank you, thank you. We recently moved back to Arizona from Austin, TX. I loved the humidity and so did my hair and skin. But my static hair drives me nuts. I am always putting on a baseball cap to keep it out of my face. I will be mixing up a bottle today…
