First off, condolences.
My cards are obviously amazing.
But, the blog has it and boy oh boy is this year a goodie. We had a lot of footnotes, I’m not sure how that will paste….
Fingers crossed.
Without further aideu — I present my 2013 Christmas card. Merry Christmas everyone, may the warmest of feelings fill your heart at this time of year. May you be with family and friends that you hold dear.
December 2013
It seems like this year has flown by like Wendy and Peter to Neverland! How could it be Christmas again?
This year has been the year of the Early Reader at our house, so I’m going to simplify this year’s letter.
Drew is busy. Drew is tired. Drew goes to school, then he goes to a different school (ASU), helps at scouts and sometimes sleeps. Drew will graduate[1]this next year.
Conner is busy[2]. Conner did two plays at school. He plays the trumpet. Conner is going to high school next year. Conner is good at scouts; he has many patches[3].
Spencer is sometimes busy. Spencer made lego robots[4] at school. Spencer was in the spelling bee. Spencer is a good cub scout. Spencer likes to read. Spencer still loves Harry Potter more than his family. Spencer says he is very smart. Spencer’s mom rolls her eyes.
Paige likes to help others be busy. Paige likes to color. Paige knows to only color on paper now. Paige reads a lot of books. Paige does not like bangs. Paige does not do “boy things”. Paige likes “Little Ponies” and “Pollys”. Paige comments on many people’s modesty[5]. Paige is sometimes too loud. Paige has a lot of opinions[6]. Paige is in preschool. Paige likes to hug.
Hilary is busy. Hilary helps moms have babies[7]. Hilary is in charge of primary[8] at church. Hilary helps at both schools. Hilary helped sew[9]costumes. Hilary is sometimes too busy. Hilary is excited for Kindergarten. Hilary thinks she will learn many things while Paige is gone.
We took a trip to Utah[10]without our Dad. We missed him. We like Utah. We like our family.
We went camping. Mom did not die. Mom is proud.
We love Christmas. We like to have fun together[11]. We love Jesus. He came to Earth as a baby to help us be a better family. We try hard.
The end.
So, that is the early reader for the year. Luckily, Paige will probably be onto Harry Potter by the end of the coming year. That will make for a better newsletter next year. We hope this letter finds your family safe and happy during this festive time. We wish we could visit each of you, but this will have to suffice. Until next year, Merry Christmas with all our love!
