No, not TO NURSE, to BE a nurse. Learn some basic skills. I actually took a first aid class when I was in college and it was probably one of the most valuable things I ever took. Nursing school doesn’t teach you a whole lot of real-world healthcare advice, but that one sure did!
I have a lot of friends who seem to go to the doctor quite a bit. For things I’d never even consider. Lucky for you, I have a few posts that can help you brush up on your nursing skills. Smart moms learn to be a nurse, at least partially. You can’t run to the doctor for anything, get some smart skills under your belt for the next catastrophe!

If you don’t find what you want here– check out my TMI listings, as I have a ton there as well. Think about trying to treat your kids at home (especially once they’re toddlers and older) before heading in to hand over a co-pay!
**{Smart} Moms is a relative term. I had to give it a name, but I am the first one to say I’m not smart all the time. Sometimes I’m just as stumped any any other mom. This series is just a list of things I’ve found to make life easier — not to say — WOOT WOOT, I’m SOooooOOOO smart! {said like Steve Martin}
