Oh man — school’s out. Time for deep breathing, my referee shirt, and those few, lovely, moments when you decide THIS is what parenting is about.
We’ve been out for two weeks now, so things are in full steam.
The summer schedule is going well. I am not doing so well at kids writing. Princess P is fighting me on lessons, I got lax on them towards the end of preschool. It is what it is, we try. My favorite part, right now, is PE. We’ve all had a really good time trying out some sports together lately. It’s the first time that part is actually working pretty well.
Princess P did swim lessons last week. She did amazing, and is quite a fish. She is always so proud of herself after those. Love them. Mr Middle, after watching her class, really wanted one of his own, so he is in swim lessons now too. A strokes class, which is good because his form is HORRIBLE. Of course, so is mine, so it is what it is, but I’m glad we’re doing it. Worth every penny. He’s doing it with a friend and I they look like they’re doing sychronized swimming all the time. It makes me giggle.
The job situation is still the same, since I know a lot of you are wondering. We get something that seems like good news, and then bad news that puts us back where we were. Patience, right?
El Presidante when to Scout NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training) last week. He came home with some of the MOST chapped lips I’ve ever seen. Can he lead himself {which was my hope for this}? No. But, it’s all about baby steps, right? He tries, I need to appreciate that more. More scout camp in the weeks to come. Yay!
As for me, the blog is plugging along. I’m going to make the change to a word press site at some point. I had a day with 7k visitors, which was pretty darn exciting. Traffic has died down since then, but now I know it’s possible. Keep sharing what you read here on Pulling Curls — every share helps. 🙂 I’m scheduled a lot the next little bit, but here I sit on call. Such is my life. 🙂
It’s getting SO hot here in AZ. I was idling in traffic the other day and noticed my thermometer was creeping to the red much too fast. Who can blame it with me sitting with the A/C blasting and 114 idling with 40 other cars. Yipes! We will be ready for our vacation when it comes.
What about you? What’s up at your house this fine June?

School’s out tomorrow. It’s 100 degrees here today, so we’re hot, but not like you just yet. We do have a pool. It freaks the heck out of me, so my plan for summer is to be in it, all the time, until my children swim like actual fish and I don’t wake up with nightmares about drowning. We do have a fence and a lock and all that. Brittany R from Santa Clara lives here too, and she’s offered to help teach the kids towards the end of June. I don’t blog anymore. Aint nobody, but Hilary, got time for that! We’re also running, a lot, together. 5k for the 4th, just the fam. Disney run at the end of summer, lots of leg work in between. We will be a fast family, and hopefully very sleepy by noon every day so I can get a three hour uninterrupted nap 🙂 I miss you. Let’s gang up on Kim and pick her up from the airport and head somewhere cool together.

Oh my goodness, when Miranda had her fb pictures with her I could just feel how fun it used to be in my heart. That HAS to happen.
You guys really are running machines. Good for you!
Yuck for nightmares. I’ve heard wonders about Brittany. I also adore her, so that helps. 🙂 I should have sent Spencer to her in the beginning, he has HORRIBLE form that we’re having to fix now.
